A licensed real estate agent is supposed to act on your behalf as your agent, providing you with advice and guidance and doing a job – helping you buy or sell a home. The value or perceived value of the service they offer is entirely up to you as everyone’s knowledge base, skill sets, risk management and schedules are different. For simple marketing or sales transactions you may already possess all the skills needed. For more involved transactions others may be required to participate in the transaction. (lawyers, accountants, engineers, inspectors, agents, etc)
